Elan Tye

Elan is an experienced early stage investor, operator, and strategist across health and wellness, artificial intelligence, and other frontier technologies. He is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs who are augmenting human health and performance.

At JAZZ, Elan helped develop the incubation program which spun out Blue Note and Swing Therapeutics. He currently is a board observer at these companies, as well as at Foresight Mental Health, Mahana and HerMD, and is actively involved in companies across the portfolio.

Prior to JAZZ, Elan led C. Light, a company that develops eye tracking algorithms to manage Alzheimer’s. He also served in several operating roles at health technology startups out of the MIT, Berkeley, and Stanford ecosystems. Earlier on, Elan spent time at the Boston Consulting Group and Monitor Deloitte, enabling healthcare executives to solve complex problems.

He is currently an advisor at UCSF’s Health Hub, KidsX pediatric health accelerator, 81cents focused on gender pay equity, and teaches undergraduates at UC Berkeley.

Elan earned his bachelor's degree from Tufts University and M.B.A. from UC Berkeley.
